Wife: Bonucci Leave Juventus Not because of Allegri
Martina Maccari denied her husband, Leonardo Bonucci, leaving Juventus in a dispute with coach Massimiliano Allegri. According to Maccari, Bonucci needs new challenges and environments.
Milan bought Bonucci from Juventus in the transfer market last for 42 million euros. This transfer is quite surprising, because the Italian national team defender was never associated with the Rossoneri before.
Last season Bonucci was often hostile to Allegri. However, this is not the cause of the 30-year-old player was docked to the San Siro.
“The decision was not because of a fight with Max Allegri,” Maccari told Rai Radio 1.
“In a professional atmosphere, I think the balance between all sides is very basic, Bonucci chooses to go because of the changes in the environment, but now he is feeling calm and giving everything for this new adventure,” Maccari added.
Bonucci defended Juventus for seven seasons. He scored 21 goals from 319 games throughout the competition. He also helped Juve embrace 12 titles, including six Serie A trophies.
With Milan, Bonucci always appear in four Serie A games this season. The result, the Rossoneri won three times and the rest lost.
